Hey everybody. I just want to say what a blessing it is to be able to share with you God's direction for my life on a daily basis. He tells us that we should discuss things with other believers and I am so blessed to be able to do that. This is where he led me this morning on a date that will always be remembered.
Luke 22
Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
1Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, 2and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. 3Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. 4And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. 5They were delighted and agreed to give him money. 6He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.
The Last Supper
7Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."
9"Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked.
10He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there."
13They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
Luke shows how Jesus was the perfect man given as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. Christ is the perfect model for us to follow. His character met humanity's highest ideals as well as God's demand for the atonement of our sin. He is and always will be our model and our Savior. We must try to be Like Jesus at all times. We must walk in God's will at all times. We cannot let our bad habits get between us and God. If you'll remember Jesus boiled down Christianity to two things. Love God, Love one another. This must be unconditional in our walk with him.
The second point of interest in this passage is that Satan's part does not remove any of the responsibility from Judas. We cannot claim that the "devil made us do it" and lay all blame on him. We make conscious choices daily.Judas may have not understood what Jesus was going to accomplish by dying and no longer believed that Jesus was the Messiah. Satan assumed that Jesus death would end his mission and mess up God's plan. How wrong he was. Little did he know that Jesus death and Resurrection were the most important part of God's plan all along. God is in control, God has the greatest game plan ever. There are no mistakes. He knows our next move even though he allows us to make our own decisions. Judas basically had no faith in God and let his human self doubt what he could not see. Satan was then able to use him like a puppet. We must remain faithful and Trust God.
Our dear Heavenly father, you are so amazing that words cannot describe your Glory. You work from a spiritual standpoint where we, your children, can only understand the earthly standpoint. All things work together for the betterment of your kingdom. You have a plan that none of us could ever handle or comprehend. I pray that I see your will for my life. Lord take anything that stands between you and I out of my life. Show me what it is that you have for me to do. Teach me your ways. I am your attentive and willing student. I pray that those who are struggling with debt are freed form the chains that hold them down. I pray that the means needed to bring our youth closer to you are supplied . Pierce our hearts to make this happen. I pray for those who have not found you yet and are suffering. I ask you to shine your loving light upon them so that they may have peace and joy. I pray for those who are struggling with addiction but are still trying to find their way back to your. Lord please remind them that they are the ones who walk away but you stand like a mountain unmoving and anchored ready to shelter them in their time of need. I ask that you counsel me on my finances and to always realize that they are not my finances but yours and that I must use it to better your kingdom in order to receive more blessings from it and you have already done. I pray that you help me to smoothly transition the policy's and other governmental procedures that I will be dealing with over the next few weeks. I pray that this process goes smooth. I pray for those who may be watching us as Christians and long for the joy that we posses. I ask that you pierce their hearts so that they may know you as I do.I pray for those who are struggling with their place in life and need your guidance to show them the way that they should go.Lord you are loving, but you are a Jealous God. I appreciate and praise your name for all of hte blessings that you have bestowed upon me.I pray for my children that they will have a life pleasing to you. Forgive me where I fail you. In your precious name I pray.....amen

Brantly, thank you so much for your daily posts they are so inspiring! I look forward to what God is leading you to say and if I ever miss a day I feel as if I have missed out on a blessing. I continue to pray for you and your precious children, Karen, Jerry, Patrick, Kelly, your parents, and sister too. I know Keri is looking down and is so proud to see that you are diligently seeking Gods will. I do not know what direction God is leading you in but I'm wondering if God is calling you to preach!?
I love to read your post each day. There is not a day that goes by that something you say does not speak to me.

Brantley,
It was good to see you at the pep rally today. Praying for you and for God to reveal his plan to you. I know that is so much what you are seeking. You have a good start on it by being a godly example in one of the toughest mission fields there is. Those kids need that example. It was good seeing you being that for them tonight. Proud of those kids! They are good boys.
